The Hills I Call Home

The Hills I Call Home is a documentary that explores the town of Beattyville, which is located deep in American's Appalachian Mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Though it's one of the economically poorest towns in America (the household income in 2015 being more than $35,000 less than the US average), Beattyville is home to a strong tight-knit community that is anything but "poor" in regards to spirit. A story of resilience, family, and community - The Hills I Call Home is an uplifting film about coming together as one through times of hardship and looking to the future with hope. The Hills I Call Home was released March 2021 by Gravitas Ventures and is available via streaming. Find it here on iTunes.
